Johnson Ranch in the Southeast Valley Recognized by “Ranking Arizona” for 2008

Johnson Ranch in the southeast Valley has been recognized as one of the top 10 master planned communities in Arizona as well as in Southern Arizona in the 11th annual “Ranking Arizona: The Best of Arizona Business”. The 2,000-acre community is located at the intersection of Hunt Highway and BellaVista Road.

“Ranking Arizona: The Best of Arizona Business” is the largest business opinion poll in Arizona with participants voting on quality of product, service and customer satisfaction in more than 200 business and leisure categories. Johnson Ranch has been a consistently popular community with a range of home choices and amenities to fit many lifestyles,” said Curt Smith, chief operating officer and chief financial officer for the developer, Sunbelt Holdings of Scottsdale.

Community amenities, which have been designed with active outdoor living in mind, include the Lakeview Recreation Center, Indigo Sky Recreation Center and Stardust Recreation Center. The Lakeview and Indigo Sky centers feature a 25-meter swimming pool, spa, children’s playground, picnic pavilion, grassy lawn and restroom.

Indigo Sky has double-overlay basketball courts and sand volleyball courts whileLakeview has two lighted tennis courts. Situated within a 42-acre Greens Park, Stardust Recreation Center has a 25-meter pool, spa and restroom building. The Greens Park also offers a private, nine-hole Pitch & Putt course, private catch-and-release fishing lake and an expansive grassy park area.

Builders at the community include Centex Homes, DR Horton and Richmond American, as well as Del Webb’s Solera, an active adult community within Johnson Ranch.

Numerous commercial services and stores are situated at the community’s entrance at Hunt Highway and Bella Vista Road. These include a major grocery store, fueling station, drug store, banks and neighborhood centers offering a variety of goods and services. A Rural Metro Fire Station serving the entire area is located along the Hunt Highway, just southeast of Johnson Ranch.
