PEORIA, Ariz. (January 22, 2014)- Vistancia, a 7,100-acre master planned community in Peoria owned by Stratford Land, has earned ranking among the top 50 best-selling residential developments in the nation for 2013 by Irvine, Calif.-based John Burns Real Estate Consulting.
The survey, which included approximately 50 large-scale residential communities from across the nation, ranked master planned communities by total net sales in 2013. John Burns Real Estate Consulting then ranked the 50 top sellers for its comprehensive list. The results also showed that there was a 12 percent increase over 2012 in new home sales in the top 50 master planned communities.
Vistancia earned the highest total net sales among all Arizona master plans, with 266 net sales in 2013. Contributing to the community’s success was the grand opening of four new neighborhoods by builders Gehan Homes, Mattamy Homes, Woodside Homes in The Village at Vistancia and T.W. Lewis by David Weekley Homes in Blackstone at Vistancia. Four additional new builder neighborhoods are planned to open throughout 2014 by Ryland Homes, Mattamy Homes, Shea Homes and Toll Brothers.
Blackstone at Vistancia, the community’s private golf community, sold five custom homesites and 95 luxury homes, achieving a 37 percent growth in new home residences. Over 4,600 guests visited the Vistancia Information Center in 2013.
“We are honored to be in this prestigious ranking of national master plans for the second year-in-a-row. The continued sales growth and increase in builder activity is a confirmation that home builders and homebuyers consider Vistancia one of the top master plans to call home,” said Mark Hammons, vice president/general manager of Vistancia.
“Vistancia is celebrating the top ranking for Arizona master plans in 2013 and we’re excited about developing the community’s next phase, 3,450-acres north of the community representing the most unique portion of the master plan,” he said.
Vistancia’s future development includes an additional 3,450 acres north of the community set in the natural Sonoran desert and scenic mountainous terrain. The future extension will offer a diverse range of architectural styles and home sizes, community recreational centers, a 900-acre mountain preserve, city parks and the community’s third K-8 public school.
The award-winning Vistancia is one of the most successful master planned communities in the nation. Three unique lifestyle communities representing a collection of distinctive national and regional homebuilders offer varied designs that harmonize with the natural desert landscape: The Village at Vistancia, a multi-generational family community; Blackstone at Vistancia, a private gated golf course community featuring luxury homes and custom homesites; and Trilogy at Vistancia, an active adult resort community.
Vistancia currently features seven new home neighborhoods by regional and national builders offering a wide selection of new homes including Gehan Homes, Mattamy Homes, Ryland Homes, Shea Homes, Taylor Morrison, T.W. Lewis by David Weekley Homes and Woodside Homes.
Among Vistancia’s amenities are the Mountain Vista Club, a 15,000-square-foot recreational facility with an indoor basketball court, three swimming pools, tennis courts and event lawns. Vistancia’s benchmark amenity is The Discovery Trail, a 3.5-mile hiking trail linking Vistancia neighborhoods to amenities and two elementary schools. The community also offers two golf courses — a private, Jim Engh-designed course at Blackstone Country Club, which also features the 30,000-square-foot Hacienda clubhouse, and a public course at Trilogy.
